I was giving dbc a little help with his new KP project over the weekend and was reminded of a map he released back in April 2004 called Fraggin in Space!.

It's a small arena style map, set in outer space which uses jump pads to help move around the map. It's got 12 spawn points so can handle a small crowd. It uses custom textures and a downloadable custom sky.

Recently someone contacted me to ask about uploading their personal skins to Kingpinforever.
If you want us to host your personal or clan skins then the easiest way is to just email them to me here.
I will then add them to our Clan Skins download section here. I will also add them to our game servers.

Alternately, if you have an FTP program installed you can upload them that way. Just click on Submit News on the right hand side of this page and follow the instructions under KP4EVER FTP server connection information.

So Martin, I hope you see this post and will send us your skins :)

Sonik has released an updated version of his classic House of Death 2 single player mappack. All maps have been updated and the main changes are:-
-More Health.
-Slightly easier End Boss.
-Improved Character entrances.
-An ending cinematic instead of a dead map.

As a matter of interest the total number of enemies is 106:-
Dogs: 24
Thugs: 27
Runts: 30
Whores: 25

You only need download this update if you have already downloaded the original House of Death 2 as the update only contains the new maps.

For those of you who haven't checked out HoD2 I have uploaded an new HoD2 zip containing the new maps and all textures, sounds etc.

I recommend you downlod HoD2, if you haven't already, as this is a fine example of master map making :)

One of my favourite small DM Maps is one called Stone Circle. It's a map converted to Kingpin by {GT}Knight. Originally it was a Quake2 map made by [MS]BUG. As the name suggests it's set in an area full of stone structures (like Sonthenge). It has plenty of weapons and items and uses all custom textures but is still a very small download.

Back in 2004 a skinpack was released for the John McClane custom model. The pack contains four skins converted from Quake2 and are called Desperado, Kingpin, Shogun and SWAT.

{New}Misfit is working on a new map and is looking for some help. He is making a multi roomed map and would like some other maps to contribute some of those rooms:-

been workin on a central room full of stargates, so what I now realized is basically they will all go to "another world" (well map). I have 6 gates, but I want 6 very different small maps for them to go to. I have 2 done, does anyone want to contribute?

After playing these two maps recently I thought It would be good to highlight them both with a news post.

Costa Rican Sunset is a map made by Sonik in March of 2007. It's a small map set on a Costa Rican beach where there is sand, sea and sun. It's small but has a lot of detail such as a waterfall, palm trees, intricate rock walls, beach chairs etc. It's well worth checking out if you haven't already.

Combat is a small DM map set in an European town during war time. It is a conversion/rebuild of an Half-Life map which was originally made by Wayne Smith and KP'ed by me.
The map contains four bombed out buildings, two on either side of a river which runs thru the middle of the map. There are also two army vehicles included, one on either side fo the river.
The map uses a combination of KP, SoF and HL textures. It has ample weapons (including 2 HMG's) and other items and 11 spawn points.

Both maps are in rotation at both the Detropoolis Custom Maps server and the Legacy server.

CTF Fast Flags by Mr Damage

It;s been a while since anyone released a Capture the Flag map so I decided to work on one. This is a small 'two forts' style map which uses custom textures and has 3 ways to get to the opposite base (through the middle or down the side corridors). The motivation to do this map was that I was experimenting working with angles (like the angled corridors). There are lots of weapons and items and 16 spawn points per team. I included a few rats and some breakable boxes as well.
I have added it to our KP4Ever's CTF V1.0a Server.

{Inc}Phoenix sent word that he has updated his Gangster's Paradise webpage. This basically involved him checking all links, replacing or removing, adding others etc. He now has over 400 active links at his site.
